Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Healthcare Researcher to join our team, supporting a large program within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The ideal candidate has a strong background in conducting research within the healthcare sector, with particular expertise in veterans' health.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of grant proposals, project plans, and research protocols.
• Conduct independent research on healthcare trends, outcomes, and interventions relevant to the veteran population.
• Generate reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders, ensuring information is accessible and actionable.
• Stay informed on latest research and development in the field and contribute to knowledge dissemination.
• Collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and policy makers to translate research findings into practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
• Master's degree in a health-related field, Public Health, or Biostatistics, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare research or a related field.
• Experience working with government contracts and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in a health-related field, Public Health, or Biostatistics.
• Experience managing projects that involve integration of medical, behavioral, and social health systems.
• Previous experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or military health systems.
• Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Experience in the healthcare sector.

Eligibility:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000.
