Job Description
Overview:
Join AIR as a Research Assistant with our Health team. Our Health team works collaboratively to unravel the intertwined challenges of health care quality, costs, and access. Our team of experts – nurses, physicians, psychologists, economists, sociologists, data scientists, and public health experts – advance evidence and save lives by leading rigorous research and evaluation; results-driven technical assistance and training; and leading-edge data science and technology tools.

Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations.

Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for the position include:
  • Conducting literature reviews of technical and professional publications.
  • Supporting the preparation of standardized operating procedures, work plans and reports.
  • Reviewing work products to ensure quality and consistency of content.
  • Supporting business development proposals to include tracking and resume collection.
  • Managing administrative aspects of projects, to include scheduling client and internal meetings and note taking during client meetings.
  • Participating in the design of research studies and prepare findings presentations.
Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Proposal and report preparation experience
  • Knowledge of health care policy topics, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance Exchanges, Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), payment reform, and/or health care quality initiatives
  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and in a team environment

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position. Depending on project work, qualified candidates may need to meet certain residency requirements.

AIR’s Total Rewards Program, is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $50,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
