Health Educator -Remote Jobs

What is your impact?

This position is within our Health Promotion & Wellness Department. The Health Educator will be responsible for our population health programs. They provide the content, facilitate the programs and are actively representing Florida Blue on social media. The position provides health education content via live presentations, via webinar and in podcasts on demand. They are also responsible for the oversight of regional health educator contractors and manage them within budget.

What are your key responsibilities?

Develop and master delivery of interactive health education and lifestyle improvement programs using new sophisticated technology platforms, including live online webinar events and on demand recordings for all lines of business.

Provide and grow onsite health education presentations and wellness intervention recommendations on a wide variety of health and wellness topics such as weight, stress, nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits for employer groups in Florida Blue’s Better You health promotions and wellness program.

Develop evidence-based health education and behavior change materials including power point presentations, newsletter articles, handouts and multi-week lifestyle improvement programs for employer groups based on aggregate data from PHA (Personal Health Assessment) data, claims, predictive modeling, and regional demographics for employer groups.

Support Guidewell owned assets with wellness programs for members in all LOB + community – including CliniSanitas and Diagnostic Clinic and Florida Blue Retail Centers.

What is required?

4+ years related work experience. Experience Details: experience in the health promotion industry, preferably in health education

Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience

One certification from a national health-related organization such as Wellcoaches®, Intrinsic Coaching, CHES, ACSM or another similar organization.

Experience with core wellness topics such as physical activity, nutrition, weight, and stress

Experience using Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel (must be tech savvy)

Available for travel up to 25% of the time with occasional overnight stays

What is preferred?

Master’s degree in a related field Health promotion

More than one certification from a national health-related organization such as Wellcoaches®, Intrinsic Coaching, CHES, ACSM or another similar organization

Experience in the health care industry Certification in worksite wellness

General Physical Demands:

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $61,000 - $99,100

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $61,000 - $76,200

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
