Neighborhood Centers are a portfolio of 40 retail locations and virtual services where Humana members and other consumers can experience the Humana brand promise in a high-touch, retail setting, to include health education and improvement programs, clinical support, health screenings, customer service support, agent/sales support, and peer social engagement. Whether it’s a fun fitness class, a health education demo, or just a place to hang out, Humana Neighborhood Centers provide a variety of no-cost educational and recreational opportunities for adults. Our on–site and virtual educators empower participants to take control of their own well-being through educational health, fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle programming in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
Humana is seeking a Health Educator to join the Neighborhood Center Health Educator team in the Clearwater and Port Richey, FL area. As Health Educators, our goal is to improve the well-being of our Humana members, our associates, and local communities by facilitating events in-person and virtually. Hosting and/or moderating webinars and interacting with members one on one in our local markets.

• Virtually present and/or moderate live webinars, using accessible language to respect participants
• Provide health and wellness education through facilitating programs and in 1x1 settings to members and the public, both virtually and in person
• Demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants and provide feedback

This individual will be facilitating classes virtually and in person from our Neighborhood Center in the Clearwater, FL area to support our Humana Neighborhood centers in Clearwater and Port Richey, FL.
(THIS IS NOT A WORK AT HOME/REMOTE POSITION)
Required Qualifications

• Required to work in our office locations based in Clearwater/ Port Richey, FL area.
• Collaborate with various levels of the organization internally and community.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow up skills.
• Previous experience in teaching, training, mentoring or facilitating.
• Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking and presentations skills
• More than 5 years’ experience in effective delivery of Healthcare Education and/or Wellness programs (preferably with seniors)
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish (Fluent in both)
• Strong technical knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Bachelor's in Health, Health Education, Nursing, Social Work, Education, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• CHES certification, or the ability to obtain certification, based upon relevant education.

Additional Information
This individual will be facilitating classes virtually and in person, on-site at our centers in the Clearwater/Port Richey, Florida area.
This position is a member facing position and on-site at our Neighborhood Centers and will need to adhere to Humana's COVID policy.
Please note: Some areas of our business, such as the Primary Care Organization including CenterWell, Conviva, Kindred at Home, onehome, SeniorBridge, Neighborhood Centers, Pharmacy Distribution Centers and others, may be required to adhere to federal, state or local or additional workplace guidelines.
