Job Description
Overview:
Located in Charlotte; Monday-Friday
50% in the office and 50 remote
Novant Health is seeking a Health Education(Non-RN)
Provides evaluations to patients undergoing screening for health-related risk factors and chronic disease. Collaborates with other team members to assess a patient’s health risk in accordance with current policies and procedures. Will schedule appointments and managing a maternity worklist to make sure prenatal visists are quickly scheduled. Performs in roles of (1) clinical technician performing various screening tests, (2) physician liaison with physicians in various offices to arrange, coordinate, conduct screenings and provide appropriate feedback, and (3) patient educator with respect to risk factor management. Provides education/information to patients, families, staff, and community that responds to individualized needs in accordance with current standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Required. Bachelors Degree in health education, health promotion, nursing or social work.
  • Additional Skills (required): Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills with complex projects including the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited oversight and support. Strong demonstrated organizational abilities and the ability to keep track and oversee multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, communicate with other project/task participants with limited oversight and support. Above average oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey, receive interpret and document information for reports, correspondence, instructions, etc. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to form trusting and productive working relationships across a wide range of customers, stakeholders and partners. Ability to work a highly flexible schedule including early morning and late afternoons with the potential for limited evening and weekend commitments. Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point software, required.
  • Experience: Three years experience in healthcare and professional work setting, Required.
