Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with other executive team members, this role is both high-impact and high-profile as we seek to provide consumers with better payments solutions and enable merchants to retake control of their checkout.

The Head of Technology role be given a clear, goal-oriented career path towards a CTO level role as the company grows. NewCash is a seed-funded company, and this role comes with a competitive salary and equity package.

What You’ll Do

• Designing systems and processes that meet the standards and requirements necessary of a regulated financial services provider.
• Become the first full-time engineering lead at NewCash. You will be architect of a new payments network that will reshape the industry.
• Modifying an existing MVP and developing the APIs, SKDs and other services for partner integrations.
• Make impactful technical decisions with regard to language, framework, infrastructure, platform, etc.
• Recruit, develop and grow an inclusive engineering team.
• Join meetings with investors and board members to provide insight on the technical requirements and progress.
• Executing from Day 1, rolling up your sleeves and putting in place the platform.
• Work with key ecosystem partners on integrations, developing the necessary services required.

Who You Are

• Entrepreneurial mindset. You have worked in a startup or on your own side projects and built products from the ground up.
• Experience building and maintaining high-availability, high-performance, and scalable platforms.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in payments or fintech.
• Experience managing engineering teams.
