Head Of Procurement - Indirects

We are looking for a Head of Procurement to lead our Indirect Buying team, focussing on effective delivery of business and customer targets alongside development of people, systems and processes, driving a culture of progression and improvement across the function and the wider business plans, targets, and strategies.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the central indirect sourcing team to ensure that the total cost of the portfolio is managed efficiently and effectively
• Oversee the management of the portfolio of lead buying areas within the NPD buying team, promoting best practise approach to negotiations and ensuring team compliance to systems and processes, and Greencore’s sustainability strategy
• Create a collaborative working relationship between the purchasing and NPD functions that enables cost-effective sourcing and delivery of targeted innovation to give Greencore a competitive advantage
• Ensure appropriate governance and risk management
• To develop and maintain high performing, motivated and engaged teams through 121 coaching and by using tools and techniques designed to ensure team members have the direction, leadership and bespoke development plans to maximise their potential both as individuals and as a team
• Implement and ensure compliance with our data management and governance policies, procedures and/or guidance governance approaches so that associated risks are mitigated and managed
• Support the achievement of our inclusion and diversity aspirations through role modelling and personally leading and hiring inclusively, embracing and encouraging diversity
• To develop and maintain high performing, motivated and engaged teams through 121 coaching and by using tools and techniques designed to ensure team members have the direction, leadership and bespoke development plans to maximise their potential both as individuals and as a team
• Forecast, monitor, and control indirect and capital expenditure working with business and functional budget holders
