Job Description

Have you always wanted to lead a start-up implementation for a football program at the college level? We are seeking an energetic and motivated head coach to reestablish our football program after 81 years! The Head Football Coach is responsible for building and leading our successful football team. It is critical that the successful candidate establish the program's vision, recruit talented athletes, develop effective campus and community relationships, implement effective training programs, and foster a positive team culture to have a successful opening season in AY24/25. This is a 12 month, full time position with full college benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish program goals, objectives, and expectations aligned with the college's mission.
  • Develop a long-term vision and strategic plan for the football program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including the college administration, alumni, and community.

    • Ensure proper medical treatment with athletes, ensuring they comply with medical restrictions.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in a relevant field.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes, both academically and athletically.
  • Recruiting experience and a proven track record of attracting talented athletes.
  • Establish strong relationships with others across campus, alumni and the local media to promote the program and its accomplishments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous coaching experience, preferably college level.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate players.
  • Extensive knowledge of football strategy, techniques, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and ODAC rules and regulations, with a commitment to compliance.
