RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Fourth year certification in approved teaching field.

Experience:

• Successful teaching and coaching experience.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

• Uses sound judgement.
• Knowledge of athletic area and ability to teach skills in an acceptable manner.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Skillful in interpersonal relationships.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

Applicants are asked to request a minimum of three (3) confidentially submitted electronic reference surveys via the online application process and provide copies of all content assessment results (GACE, Praxis II, or other tests required for educator certification), valid certificates, and college transcripts.

Out of state applicants are strongly encouraged to apply for Georgia teacher certification.
