Itron's West Union, SC site which is closely located to the beautiful and academically acclaimed Clemson University campus, as well as our Raleigh , North Carolina site, is seeking a Hardware Electrical Engineer who is seeking a challenging role with purpose. This important role serves as a central resource for design, process, manufacturing, test, and quality with responsibility in investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities. One of the key responsibilities and impact this individual will have is to ensure the products shipped meeting the specifications and quality goals of the customer and Itron standards.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand product metrology requirements, including internal specifications and applicable industry standards
• Conduct and participate in design reviews
• Troubleshoot, support, and improve existing PCBAs
• Develop PCBA schematics using commercial components and custom PCBs for rigorous environmental conditions and adhering to mechanical constraints

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required

• Plus if you have a Masters Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Prefer 3 plus years’ experience in PCBA hardware development
• Demonstrated experience in board development utilizing microprocessors, discreet components, and interacting with embedded code
