Founded in 2006, Refresh Miami has served as the hub of Miami's tech and startup ecosystem for almost 2 decades now. We love telling the stories of local startups and founders via our newsroom, providing our members with resources and opportunities via our directories and job board, and connecting those passionate about tech and startups via our in-person events and online community tools. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, our mission is to educate, inspire, connect and grow South Florida’s tech and startup ecosystem.

Overview

Refresh is in search of a dynamic Growth Marketer who will play a dual role, combining the creativity and engagement of a social media manager with the strategic and analytical skills of a growth marketer. This position involves implementing growth strategies, managing social media posting, and amplifying our brand's reach within the Miami tech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with growth marketing trends and best practices, sharing insights with the Refresh team
• Engage and respond to audience feedback and interactions across all platforms
• Develop and implement a growth strategy for 2023 to increase our newsletter subscribers, social media followers, and website traffic
• Repurpose existing Refresh content into new formats for wider reach (ex: blog posts, infographics, videos)
• Explore and evaluate collaboration opportunities with key players within the Miami Tech ecosystem
• Leverage SEO and growth hacking techniques to boost website traffic and engagement
• Attend and contribute to Refresh’s 4 signature events in 2023
• Manage daily social media posts while creating engaging content that drives website traffic, increases our social media followers, and expands our Miami Tech Newsletter subscribers
• Track and analyze performance metrics, optimize strategies based on insights gained

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, and digital marketing best practices
• Proven track record of driving growth in newsletter subscribers and website traffic
• Love for the city of Miami and an interest in getting to know the Miami Tech ecosystem and its various contributors
• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for marketing
• Self-starter, with the ability to do great work independently
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• At least 2-3 years of experience in growth marketing and social media management

About The Role

• Free Refresh Miami membership and perks
• You manage your time, and the role will not require more than 10 hours per week
• Compensation is $1,500 per month
• Online communication and collaboration with our team happens via Slack, Zoom, Notion, email, and phone.
• The expectation of being available during US Eastern Time business hours
• This is a fully-remote role, with optional coworking days with the Refresh team.
• This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in Miami's tech and startup ecosystem and make some great connections along the way.
