JOB TITLE: Group Fitness Instructor COMPANY: Chiefs Fit DIRECTLY REPORTS TO: General Manager and Group Fitness Director DEPARTMENT: Group Fitness Chiefs Fit s and Service Standards work together to provide team members with a clear understanding of their job responsibilities and service expectations. JOB SUMMARY: The Group Fitness Instructor is a member of the Chiefs Fit team and plays a key role in the company’s overall success. The Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) will prepare and lead a fun, safe and effective group class based on the class description, offering modifications for less experienced or more experienced clients as needed. The instructor will represent the club in a positive manner, greeting the clients as they enter and leave class. WORK SCHEDULE:This is a part-time non-exempt position. Your daily schedule will vary throughout the week depending on the needs of the club, the staff, and the members. KEY PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FACTORS:

• Maintain an electronic record of classes taught or subbed, including attendance numbers
• When needed, secure substitute teacher(s) to cover your regular class or a class you have agreed to sub
• Instructors will always uphold the brand standards of Chiefs Fit
• Contact the club if you are running late and ask that someone from management notify your class
• Begin and end classes on time per the monthly schedule
• Maintain current and correct certifications for his/her format(s) as well as CPR cert
• Contribution and proactive participation as part of the company’s Group Fitness
• Ability to fulfill essential duties
• Ability to meet department goals
• All written or verbal communication must be delivered in a positive manner
• Please teach what is scheduled. If members want something different let the GFD know so a class can be added
• Prepare and lead a fun, safe and effective class for all levels of participation based on class description
• Keep studios orderly, lock stereo cabinet and use a microphone sponge cover
• Notify your Group Fitness Director (GFD) of all substitutes as early as possible
• Arrive 5 minutes early for all classes to prepare the room and greet clients
• Dress appropriately for all classes
• Ability to exemplify and live the company’s core values

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:

• Computer-savvy and proficient in using programs such as Word & Excel
• Team player who approaches challenges in a creative and positive manner
• Experience in a sales environment focused on attaining revenue and unit goals is a plus
• A passion for health and wellness and the ability to influence people in overcoming their obstacles to exercising, joining a fitness club, and in making lifestyle changes
• Commitment to providing top notch customer service and some experience working in a fast-paced customer service role
• Enjoy networking and building relationships - comfortable on the phone and in doing outreach in the community
