Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer (Temp)

Responsibilities*

The Department of Recreational Services is seeking student and non-student staff to lead fitness classes andtraining sessions in the Recreation Center. Openings include Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. Shifts may be days or evenings, weekdays or weekends, depending on availability. Hourly wage begins at$22/hour, with higher starting wages based on prior experience. Responsibilities include:

• Train clients in a one on one or small group setting to help them achieve their fitness andwellness goals.
• Manage scheduling directly with assigned clients.

• Greet patrons and create a welcoming environment for all levels of fitness and abilities.

Required Qualifications*

• Demonstrates ability to lead an organized and safe class/training session
• Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR/AED certification
• High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Qualifications*

• Current certification for fitness/exercise and/or personal training (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NETA, Zumba, Spin, etc.)
• Experience teaching a group fitness or wellness class format that is currently not offered (current classes listed here)
