Job Duties:

• Other duties as delegated and assigned by supervisor
• Incorporate Recovery Unplugged’s Philosophy and work within the framework of the groups that are existing or will be created at Recovery Unplugged
• The Group Facilitator will have a working knowledge of all musical equipment and will be responsible during groups to maintain safe use of the equipment
• Take attendance, observe the behavior of all clients, and maintain a safe environment for them
• Responsible for observing and reporting anything and everything related to client safety and well being
• Present his/her experience as well as managing the flow of the discussion in group
• Responsible for the preparation and running of various groups
• Completing the group notes in KIPU, which will be reviewed daily by the clinical staff
• Assist with getting all clients into their designated groups on time

Requirements:

• Client focused
• Musician is a plus, at the very least have a love of music
• Basic knowledge of the disease model of addiction
• Quick thinking/ability to creatively problem solve
• Time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and assertive communication skills
• Recovery knowledge/experience is preferred
• Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or Bachelor's degree with a degree in related human services field preferred
