Who we are:
School House, part of Fortress Brand, is a young and growing multi-disciplinary creative agency specializing in cut-through strategy, engaging creative and immersive environments for the world's most in-demand beauty brands with an office in New York City. School Houseis built to mirror that of an in-house creative studio with dedicated talent across key creative disciplines needed in today's beauty market: brand and commercial strategy, branding and visual design, creative production, digital and social design, industrial design, visual merchandising, and architectural design. Select clients include Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, Perfect Diary, Ami Cole, La Mer, Malin + Goetz, Tata Harper Skincare, L'Occitane en Provence, Joanna Czech, Elemis, Devacurl, and MyGlamm.
Role Summary:
School House is looking for a Graphic Designer with a strong background, knowledge & experience in designing for in-store, visual merchanising fixtures and displays. This person must have experience in the beauty, health and wellness environment, and specifically must have experience with the nuances of retailers like Sephora and ULTA. Must have communication skills, and the ability to put together presentations, articulate and explain ideas. In this role, you will be involved in all stages of the creative process, from strategy and concept development for visual merchandising, pop up and store design. It is expected that this person will be comfortable designing and working with Creative Directors to develop compelling graphic languages, but also must see through to execution and production to ensure the highest quality content.
We are looking for individuals that have previous experience in the Beauty and Wellness environment and understand the nuances and requirements of the industry and specific retailers, such as Sephora and Ulta.
Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the collaborative and supportive culture of School House
  • Maintain a clear understanding of project objectives from ideation to completion
  • Maintain consistent and open communication with the internal team, clients, and external contractors on project status and needs
  • Be autonomous in time and project management
  • Can prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong knowledge of visual merchandising and retail

  • 2+ years of agency experience
  • Self-starter and independent-minded
