Job Description
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Hours: 40 hours a week
Days: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
Location: In Our Charleston Office - 8887 Old University Blvd Suite 201
On-Site or Remote: On-Site Required
Overview
You will work on a variety of items including but not limited to: logos (from scratch), branding materials, website graphics, social media graphics, flyers, banners, tri-fold brochures, trade show materials, presentations, sales documents, websites, and more.
The ideal candidate is a Do-er, is driven to accomplish many tasks per day, is flexible, works well with limited supervision, is able to consider the vision the client has and to create the graphics they want, and is able to work on a variety of items and with multiple industries daily.
This position will be an in-office role. We are a results-focused agency that provides the highest quality marketing designs and innovations to assist our clients with growing their businesses. Additional Information (IMPORTANT)
This role is a DUAL-PURPOSE ROLE. The person hired will need to train to be proficient with Web Design on WordPress and Duda. In order to maintain 40 hours a week, you will be required to also work on websites. Knowledge and experience of web design is not required to apply, but preference for this will be given. You will begin training for any skillsets necessary to be capable of designing websites on our platforms within the first week of hiring.

  • Able to review items created by clients and determine colors, fonts, and intent
  • Achieving approvals on graphic designs within 2 revisions
  • Able to create designs according to deadlines
  • Be positive, uplifting, and a refreshing spirit via phone and in-person communication
  • Respond to client and staff communication daily
  • Create designs according to time limits
  • Create logos and branding from client descriptions
Job Responsibilities
  • Other tasks as determined by management
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate corporate records, documents, and reports
  • Editing and revising existing graphic design items made by past designers
  • Attend in-person and video-based meetings with clients as necessary
  • Providing guidance to fellow staff members on branding and design improvements
  • Communicate with fellow employees
  • Accurately recording minutes from meetings
  • Creating a variety of graphic design items daily - logos, flyers, business cards, brochures, presentations, social media graphics, website graphics, and more.
Requirements
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Skilled in the use of standard office equipment (e.g., copiers, business telephone systems, computers).
  • 3+ years of graphic design experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Be Proactive
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Associate Degree or higher in Graphic Design or related program
  • Professional Grooming & Appearance
  • Understanding of Word & Excel
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to treat confidential information with appropriate discretion
  • Reliable Transportation, Internet, and phone
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Experience working for an agency or print company
  • Web Design Experience - WordPress (Divi) is a large benefit
