3+ years experience working in grant and/or contract administration, specifically pre-award

Extensive experience creating pre-award budgets

Proficient with Excel

Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with high level professionals as needed

Plusses

Understanding of SAP, Kuali, Grants.gov, Research.gov and other state and federal grant systems

Experience working in higher education within research

An employer is seeking a Grant Administrator in the Cincinnati, OH area to sit remotely. This person will join a small team and assist faculty and staff with all pre-award functions within the department and cross functionally by developing proposals for submission to federal, state, and private grants. They will also advise faculty and staff in the design of sponsored programs, including budget development and document editing. This person will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with funding agency regulations. They are required to have extensive knowledge on processing incoming awards, building out pre-award budgets, reading RFPs, understanding sponsored limitations, internal policies and contracts, etc.
