Grant Writer - Part Time

The Grant Writer will research, write, format, and submit high-quality and compelling grants for public and private funding opportunities.They are responsible for proactively researching and vetting grant opportunities and making recommendations on their feasibility.This position will collaborate with school leaders to determine needs, understand impact, and best represent the organization in grant applications.The Grant Writer will work closely with the Executive Director who manages the larger development program. This position will require a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week.

Qualifications / Education

Minimum B.A. / B.S. degree from an accredited institution is required.

Ideal Qualifications

·Minimum of two years’ experience in grant writing.

·Demonstrated history of successful grant applications and compelling story telling.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·Strong people skills.

·Excellent organizational skills

·Ability to meet deadlines.

·Proficient in measuring and reaching income goals.

·Strong knowledge of fundraising sources, particularly in Metro Atlanta area.

·Have a passion for serving students and young adults with disabilities.

·Able to embrace and advocate for SNS and those we serve.

·Capable of efficient and effective work in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

·Identify viable funding opportunities.

·Write, submit, and manage all grant proposals.

·Develop relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders.

·Maintain a proficient knowledge of SNS history, programs, needs, and goals.

·Collaborate with Executive Director to support grant efforts.

·Maintain records of all grant applications and responses.

Compensation

• Competitive hourly rate offered based on experience plus quarterly performance bonus based on approved and funded grant requests.
