Job Description
The Office of Recruitment and Admissions at the Graduate School is responsible for the recruitment, application, admissions, and re-admissions process for all graduate students at Montana State University. This office is responsible for generating admissions data and enrollment reports, continuously improving the application and review processes conducted within the office and throughout campus and conducting trainings and meetings within the Graduate School and across campus to disseminate relevant G.S. practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision from the Director of Recruitment & Admissions at the Graduate School, this individual will:
Partner with departments, other units and student organizations on campus, to develop and implement recruitment methods directed towards people living in the State of Montana and surrounding regions who seek a graduate education.
Assist prospective students with questions on their graduate applications.
Process graduate student admissions applications, re-enrollment forms and other requests/ forms associated with attending Graduate School.
Collaborate regularly with the vendor, CollegeNET, regarding programming and functionality.
Assist in planning and conducting regular recruitment and admissions meetings with colleagues across the campus.
Develop and implement graduate fairs, amend the graduate student orientation platform, and conduct training for staff and faculty.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and professional relationships with people both inside and outside the organization.
Demonstrated experience working independently, exercising sound judgment, and making consistent decisions with minimal supervision.
Progressively responsible administrative experience including interpreting policies and procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency using personal computers and software, including word processing, social media, email, design programs, spreadsheets, and electronic calendars. Microsoft Office required.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Familiarity with higher education setting, or similar experience.
Background working with non-traditional students.
Familiar with BANNER, CollegeNET or other similar university application and admissions software processes.
Experience with CRM campaigns, event planning, marketing materials creation, and the use of associated software.
