Global Compliance Specialist Jobs

We are a technical, passionate, and experienced team, and have a team of experienced advisors available to the company that come from the US Government (CBP, DHS), e-commerce, cross-border shipping, and compliance.

Your Contribution

Your work in this role will be focused on researching the global regulatory landscape surrounding both import/export compliance, and entity formation and registration requirements. This role will evolve over time to both research the global landscape, but also to create frameworks for our teams to monitor the landscape into the future in a more automated fashion.

We take the view that, as a company, we are only as strong as the documentation that surrounds our technology.

Skills

• Comfortable switching between a highly technical tone of voice and a layman's tone of voice in your writing
• Knowledge of best-practices for writing and publishing great quality documentation
• Ability to research new-to-you concepts and to self-direct your documentation efforts
• Ability to leverage AI tools, like ChatGPT, to produce content faster and comfortable editing the results to be professional, accurate, and publishable
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
• Internal and external documentation writing - these have different tones of voice, scope of writing, etc
• Knowledge/experience in understanding data storage formats/schemas
• A passion for writing, getting ‘in the details’, and a friendly tone to your writing
• Knowledge in how to assume a certain tone of voice that is not your own, but rather matches the ‘brand feel’ we want our company to have

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working on a software product in any field or specialty
• Ability to complete a US background check, if requested
• You must only apply to this position if you are working as a sole contributor, and not on behalf of a consulting firm or agency
• 2+ years of documentation writing OR research experience (preferred while in an engineering, compliance, or engineering-related role)
• You are a US citizen or permanent resident
