This role is with Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. WayUp is partnering with Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee to hire top talent.

Membership specialists play a key role in supporting all aspects of the recruiting and onboarding process of girls and adult volunteers. Additionally, they are key members of a regional team that provides a high level of service to their regional members throughout the year and develops and maintains strong outreach and fundraising programs. Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to: Cultivating membership opportunities in new areas Contacting schools to schedule girl talks and family interest nights. Organizing materials for recruitment and assisting in delivery to schools Identifying and recruiting girl and adult members/volunteers Visiting schools in geographic area to perform girl talks and family interest nights. Assisting in follow-up with families who attend family interest nights. Assisting in follow-up with potential volunteers to complete necessary training. Works closely with Regional Executive to develop and implement a membership plan that ensures a diverse membership and council goals are met. Works under the oversight of the Regional Executive to manage aspects of membership outreach programs. Helps plan, organize, and execute annual regional fundraising events and troop and/or family fundraising initiatives. Seasonal and part-time roles available.

High school diploma Belief in the purpose, values and mission of Girl Scouts of the USA and Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee Girl Scout experience is highly desirable, but not required. Experience in volunteer recruitment Experience with public speaking Sales and marketing experience Flexible team player with strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills Ability to motivate and work with volunteers cooperatively and effectively. Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including some evening and weekend work. Valid Tennessee driver’s license and insurance along with dependable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check.
