Position Description:

Ardent is currently in search of an accomplished Geospatial Analyst (ESRI Subject Matter Expert) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in supporting our crucial partnership with DHS. Your primary focus will be on delivering technical support services utilizing ESRI toolsets, specifically geared towards geospatial visualization services. The significance of your contributions lies in providing precise and timely geospatial support to facilitate critical National Special Security Event missions for large-scale events nationwide. Please note that due to the sensitive nature of this position, an active Top-Secret Clearance is mandatory to be eligible for consideration. This role will also require eight (8) to ten (10) weeks of travel.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Geospatial (ESRI) technical support:

  • Develop geo-referenced digital databases and ensure database information is correctly linked to appropriate mapping elements so analysis of the data is at optimal performance for display and output to final products.
  • Interpret data from Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, or other media for the creation of maps for both print and digital distribution.
  • Use of AutoCAD to interpret CAD files. Creation of digital floor plans from existing files in either PDF or CAD to create clean floor plans for customers. Use of CAD file integration into both digital and printed maps.
  • Work with and create .shp files; manage and organize layers; view layer management in digital applications; create map project file geodatabases from metadata for each project; create applications in Experienced Builder.
  • Work independently across organizational lines with agents, officers, analysts, and other professionals to identify and develop GIS final products.
  • Utilize ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Portal, and ESRI City Engine to aid in data collection, editing, manipulating, and generating of interim and final digital data and GIS products.
  • Ensure all mapping and GIS products adhere to all relevant standards and regulations, and to Federal Geographic Data Committee and objectives as laid out in OMB Circular A-16.
  • Apply professional judgement, technical skills, and knowledge to integrate GIS data with DHS program projects, perform analysis of GIS data, and produce final products.
  • Provide investigative leads from data analysis utilizing ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Intel. Create link charts and perform link charts analysis; create spatial temporal analysis, hot spot analysis, or other big data analysis tools. Results of analysis will be shared either online using Survey 123, digital applications such Experience Builder, or Story Maps.
  • Provide support in integrating both spatial and non-spatial datasets/databases into geospatial processing systems and perform analysis through data overlays to support protective and investigative-related projects.
  • Evaluate the availability and technical adequacy of other existing digital data generated by other government agencies - especially data from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the private sector, learning institutions, and individuals - for utilization on DHS projects.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS online or ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in ArcGIS Pro and 3 years or greater in ArcGIS Pro for Intelligence.
  • Ability to travel between eight (8) to ten (10) weeks of the year.
  • TOP-SECRET Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or Geography
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience with AutoCAD 2020 or above.
  • Agree to work on-site in Washington, D.C. two (2) days per week.
  • Ability to work extended hours if needed in support of the mission.
