Job Description

The Women’s Health Practice at the UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UMBWMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Generalist OB/GYN. Working in a collegial environment alongside talented colleagues, this position will provide exemplary clinical and gynecological services to patients with obstetrical and gynecologic conditions.

  • OBGYN group comprised of 4 OB-GYNs and 6 CNMs- seeking 5th OBGYN
  • Labor and Delivery are covered by CNM as the first call and OB from practice as second call
  • ½ Day of administrative time weekly
  • 3.5 office days and surgery /week
  • The Practice delivers about 400 patients yearly out of 1700 deliveries at the hospital
  • 1 day per week covering L & D as the second call
  • Work collaboratively with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM)
  • In general, one weekend a month as the second call
  • On average, sees 22-24patients per day in an office setting (5-10 new patients per week)
Qualifications
  • Eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland
  • Board-certified/board-eligible in general obstetrics and gynecology

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Continue the growth of a strong community-based clinical program within an academic focus
  • Ability to create a collaborative partnership with CNM and other stakeholders reinforcing positive working relationships
  • Teach medical students in the office and surgical arenas
  • Strong commitment to patient care
