Job Description

Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for championing the E,Q,D,C,I (Enterprise Risk, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation) business strategy system. They provide leadership direction and ensure smooth operation and financial return for their location.


ENTERPRISE RISK

  • Promotes, ensures, and protects a culture of Food Safety thru the implementation and regular review of SAFE Daily Criticals
  • Investigate and prevent false alarm bills, as well as handle security issues with swift response
  • Works alongside Human Resources to protect the business from any and all legal claims to our organization


QUALITY

  • Analyzes quarterly ROE reports
  • Leading and overseeing the coordination of all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure a “REMARK”able guest experience at all times which includes:
  • Analyzes monthly and quarterly CEM reports
  • A Drive-Thru experience that is always quick and accurate but never rushed
  • Maintains healthy relationships with all levels of leadership
  • A clear, consistent ordering and meal delivery process and hospitality plan for all walkup guests


DELIVERY

  • Leading and overseeing the coordination of all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure a “REMARK”able guest experience at all times which includes:
  • Reviews weekly and monthly Drive-Thru performance reports
  • Analyzes quarterly ROE reports
  • Promotes, ensures, and protects a culture of Food Safety thru the implementation and regular review of SAFE Daily Criticals
  • A Drive-Thru experience that is always quick and accurate but never rushed
  • A clear, consistent ordering and meal delivery process and hospitality plan for all walkup guests
  • Being certified in the Chick-fil-A Catering module to effectively and accurately ensure the timely preparation of all catering orders
  • Analyzes monthly and quarterly CEM reports
  • Engages in immediate problem resolution and short-term plans to correct critical issues


COST

  • Provides focus to and strategizes with operational Directors/Managers to monitor food cost
  • Holds FOH leadership and Administrative Director accountable to the ongoing implementation of Cash Management
  • Holds all leaders accountable to productive “out of operations hours”
  • Consistent recalibration around condiment verbiage and dessert training
  • Establishing project budgets to assist Directors/Managers with proper strategy/decision making
  • Looking at Time Punch Variance Report (Actual vs. Scheduled Hours)
  • CASH MANAGEMENT
  • Reviews payroll to assist with labor compliance, payroll accuracy, and to monitor overtime and penalty pay
  • Review Labor Report for opportunity to improve productivity (Checklists + Time Task Challenge)
  • Holding FOH Team Members accountable to FIFO’ing product
  • Ensures restaurant Facilities and Equipment Maintenance Program is being followed
  • Overseeing the labor and schedule for the week (reviewing it before it gets posted)
  • Regular evaluation of Labor Cost performance which includes:
  • Ensuring the alignment of daily practices of the entire restaurant with the Vision and goals of the organization
  • Monitoring behaviors of the restaurant that impact Food Cost
  • Coaching, evaluating, and providing accountability for all Team Members and leadership
  • Reviewing the IPO and working with the leadership team to improve where needed
  • Monitors and minimizes overtime
  • Overseeing inventory management and month-end processes
  • Manages the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analyses of the restaurant by
  • Preventing theft through the utilization of effective cash and DOC accountability practices
  • Tracking and monitoring labor productivity of each day-part daily
  • Drives financial performance by providing feedback to leadership and ensuring operational action is taken to achieve financial targets


INNOVATION

  • Work with the Director of Sales & Brand Growth to leverage direct mail campaigns, running promotions (FREE Breakfast giveaways, etc.) and overseeing social media engagement across various platforms
  • Evaluating/Growing all Digital Sales

The General Manager should:

  • Work a minimum of forty hours per week in the restaurant
  • Be certified in Pathways Safety & Security to ensure the safety of the team
  • Effectively coach and give direction
  • Be certified in all operationally related Pathways modules
  • Combine critical thinking and practical leadership to create a culture of innovation
  • Enthusiastically and passionately lead the entire operations team
  • Have completed Sexual Harassment training annually
  • Be fully capable of following the opening/closing procedures of the restaurant
  • Focus on systematically and effectively communicating all restaurant-related goals and success factors to leadership and Team Members
  • Allocate 2 hours per week to planning
  • Have a current SERVESAFE certificate


REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven business results
  • 5+ years of restaurant leadership
  • High character
