In this role is a full-time position and respective candidate that best aligns with this role must have experience in inspecting buildings, building equipment and systems, such as HVAC, Heating and Cooling, Boilers, Water Heaters, Fire System equipment and knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing. This position is for the school properties at Harlem Village Academies Schools located at 125th Street in the Harlem NYC. We are looking for an experienced maintenance professional in scheduling and providing maintenance and repairs in the building equipment and structures, as well as with necessary skills and experience in repairing drywall, drop ceiling and the ability to provide professional wall finish and painting. Candidate must be experienced in general maintenance of the facilities and grounds. Candidate must be organized, be able to work independently, able to work or be able to learn to work with CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and BMS.
Compensation Range: $ 26 - $ 29 per hour

Position Description:
Assists trade mechanics and/or electricians on daily work orders, small capital projects, routine preventative maintenance, routine work, new installations, and cleanup.
Position Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Essential Duties:
- Adheres to applicable safety rules.
- Assists HVAC and electrical mechanics in performing preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on equipment, examining for wear and tear and making required repairs as needed.
- Performs PM tasks on items such as roof drains, shop cleanup, and all other assigned areas.
- Performs and/assists with activities such as painting and priming of interior and exterior walls, hanging, and finishing sheetrock, hanging white boards, installing fixtures, etc.
