Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Shaker Table Attendant

  • Remove any foreign material or bad product that does not belong
  • Any problem with mix
  • Inspecting Product
  • Product flow
  • Notify dump operator, Machine Operator, or QA if:
  • Add product on table if necessary

Stacker

  • Move pallets (empty 60 lbs)
  • Check codes on cases
  • Stretch wrap pallets
  • Shut down line if necessary
  • Stack boxes (8lbs to 55 lbs)
  • Place slip sheets

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB POSITION


This job position requires the following minimum physical abilities to adequately perform the above activities:


  • HEARING – Hearing better than 40 Db threshold level in at least one ear is expected.
  • TWISTING while carrying heavy loads is required in this job position at a rate of200-225 times per hour for about 4 hours per shift.
  • VISION – 20/40 or better required with or without correction.
  • LIFTING – A significant amount of lifting is required in this job position. The maximum amount lifted is around 60 lbs. with the average lift being around 30 lbs. with a lifting frequency of 400 times per hour. Lifting heights vary from 4 inches above the floor to 6 feet above the floor.
  • STANDING – This position requires about 6 hours of standing per shift, with around 2 hours walking, and about 2 hours in which the employee may sit.
  • WALKING DISTANCE for a shift is estimated to be around 2 miles.
  • HAND/WRIST use is essential with 2-3 hours each shift requiring fine hand/wrist movements, pinching/gripping activities and repetitive twisting and bending of the wrist.
  • ELBOWS and SHOULDER use is required for 2 to 3 hours per day in the stacking portion of the job.
  • CLIMBING is minimal on this job with a 1-2 foot climb 4 times per shift.
  • PACE OF JOB – The pace of this job is set by the speed of the conveyor line and is not considered to be a quick pace.
  • PUSH/PULL activities of about 30 lbs. average weight and involving around 4 hours per shift.
  • COLOR VISION – Normal color vision required.
  • KNEES – Work on the knees is not essential for this job but a fair amount of squatting is required for about 1 hour per shift at a rate of 400-500 times per hour.

FOOD SAFETY DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS


  • Ensure proper product code and good package seals.
  • Ensure that pre-packaged product is free from any foreign objects/materials.
  • General housekeeping of area.
  • Use proper food safety PPE.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Floor surface Concrete with mats for stacking area and areas where grates need to be stepped over

Floor condition Areas of wet and possibly slippery concrete

Chemical exposure Food residue only

Room temperature 50-70 degrees
