Full-Time Permanent Assistant Preschool Teacher (8:30 To 5:30)

Summary

Looking for an amazing person to be part of an amazing team. The Assistant Teacher will join a teaching team who is working together to create a caring and safe environment for the children while implementing a quality educational program. This person must excel in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, observing and documenting children's interest and progress, and relaying that information back to parents and staff. Assistant teachers are responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director.

Duties

• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
• Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with others.
• Must clear full background check.
• High energy.
• Must pass health screening.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
