Full-Time Faculty Jobs

Overview
Full-Time Faculty under the supervision of the Program Director and Academic/ Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the management and evaluation of the program’s academic and clinical components. The position requires a 36.5 hour on-campus work week with clinical release time (unless otherwise stipulated and approved).
Responsibilities
This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Maintain State Education Dept. (SED) registration of the PA Program by keeping the Program in compliance with State regulations
• Accreditation:
• Review academic/ clinical curricular content for appropriateness to PA practice
• Create and review academic and clinical exams
• Correlative Medicine Instructor
• Committee Service:
• Participates in reaccreditation and program evaluation activities as deemed appropriate by the Program Director.
• Physical Diagnosis Lab Instructor
• Maintain accreditation by coordinating the efforts of the PA Program to meet and/or exceed the "Essentials."
• Advising first year and second year students
• Lecturing in area of expertise
• Monitor evaluation of learning objectives
• Instruct first year and second year students in the following:
• Will participate on appropriate committees (as schedule allows) as requested by the Program Director.
• Assists the Academic/ Clinical Coordinator with the following:
• Teaching:
• Procedures Instructor
• Reviewing and grading Master’s projects
• Curriculum:

Qualifications
Education/ Experience

• A Bachelor of Science from an accredited Physician Assistant Program (if applicable)
• A Master’s degree or higher is recommended
• NCCPA Board Certified (preferred)
• Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant (if applicable)

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

• Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
• Good interpersonal skills are required both written and oral
• Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity
