Full Time Sales Lead

About: The Snohomish Co-Op is a retail farm & feed store. We have been serving the local Snohomish community for over 85 years. We are adamantly dedicated to our employees, community, and membership. We are looking for long-term candidates willing to grow within our small business.

Summary: Salary range $18.00-$20.00 per hour based on previous work history, benefits included. A retail sales lead at the Snohomish Co-Op provides high levels of customer service to everyone who walks through our doors as well as leadership and direction to our associates.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with specialized farm and feed knowledge
• Assign daily tasks/projects to store team
• Provide customers with assistance pumping propane
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Keep the store clean and tidy
• Perform basic retail sales duties, including up-selling and cross-selling products
• Operate cash register & POS system
• Seasonally -- assist customers with baby chick & poultry purchases
• Assist with counting items for inventory maintenance
• Provide coaching and feedback to store associates
• Restock shelves with products & remerchandise sections of the store with instruction
• Ensure store team is helping drive results through customer engagement
• Open/close store; prepare nightly deposits
• Coordinate answering phones, and in-store customers
• Deescalate high stress situations/upset customers
• Report behavioral concerns to Assistant/Store manager as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be 18+
• Must be able to consistently lift 30+ pounds repeatedly
• Must have open availability -- mornings, evenings, & weekends
• Full time position (32-40 hours/week)
• Farm experience and knowledge is highly preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
