Job Description
  1. Web Development: Use ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, or Blazor for building interactive, performant, and secure web applications. Develop a rich user interface using JavaScript libraries such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
  2. API Development: Design and develop RESTful or GraphQL APIs using ASP.NET Web API or ASP.NET Core. Implement versioning, error handling, security (authentication and authorization), and rate limiting. Use OpenAPI for API documentation.
  3. Database Management: Design and manage SQL or NoSQL databases. They should have knowledge of database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Use Entity Framework Core for ORM.
  4. Microservices: Design, develop, and deploy microservices using .NET Core and Docker. Manage them using Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools.
  5. Cloud Development: Develop and deploy applications in cloud environments like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Utilize services like Azure App Services, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Azure SQL Database, or Azure Cosmos DB.
  6. Test-Driven Development: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for the software using tools like NUnit, xUnit, MSTest, or Selenium.
  7. DevOps: Automate the software development lifecycle using CI/CD pipelines in tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions. Use containerization tools like Docker.
  8. Performance Tuning: Monitor, identify, and alleviate bottlenecks to improve application performance.
  9. Security: Implement security best practices, including data protection, XSS prevention, CSRF prevention, and secure coding practices. Understand and apply concepts of OAuth and OpenID Connect for identity management.
  10. Code Reviews & Refactoring: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality. Continually refactor the codebase to keep it clean and maintainable.
  11. Team Collaboration & Agile Methodology: Collaborate with a team of developers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, and other stakeholders. Typically, this role will use Agile methodologies, so familiarity with tools like Jira or Azure Boards, and principles like Scrum or Kanban, is valuable.
