Modii is looking for a Front-End Software Developer to bring our client-facing and internal applications to the next level. Responsibilities include the translation of UI/UX wireframes to frontend code as well as working with the Software Development Team, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to translate business and consumer requirements into functional products. The ideal candidate will be in charge of both the design and technical implementation of our user-facing applications, admin dashboard, mobile apps, and internal tools.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Write and debug client-side code
• Participate in team and company meetings
• Work closely with other developers to create new features and enhance existing features
• Build reusable code and internal libraries for future use
• Work with our UI/UX designer to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Bring innovative ideas and solutions to the table. We do not want you to feel that the “old way” is the “right way”

Hard Requirements

• Comfortable working with VCS (Git)
• Proficient understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS)
• Comfortable working with Typescript or other strongly typed languages
• Strong grasp of frontend reactive frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelt, etc), as well as state-management libraries (Redux, Vuex, etc)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• An understanding of HTTP/Websocket request lifecycles
• General understanding of development best practices (SOLID principles, immutable data structures, etc)
• Comfortable working with remote access (SSH) and cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Heroku, etc)
• A relentless appetite for knowledge as well as personal and professional growth

Nice to haves

• Familiar with testing tools (Mocha, Chai, etc)
• Experience working with GiS data
• Comfortable working with various server-side communication protocols (REST, GraphQL, Protobuf, WebSockets)
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum
• Experience with Material UI
• Based in Denver (we still welcome applicants for remote work from anywhere within the US)
• Experience with data visualization tools and libraries (D3, Victory)
• Experience with mobile app development
• Server-side/backend development experience

Compensation package:

• Annual bonus
• Signing technology/WFH stipend of $1,500
• Monthly stipend for home internet of $70/month
• Salary range: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
