Position Description

We are looking for a frontend Software Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customer's challenging projects. We seek people who resonate with Outside Analytics' core values of advancing people and mission across both commercial and US Government markets. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with an good understanding of technical engineering concepts.

Our platforms are primarily built in a Linux environment with React/Vue, Javascript, Java, Python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. Our deployment environments include AWS Commercial, AWS GovCloud, and on-premises with US Government customers.

Position location is hybrid, with on-site presence required at our Broomfield, CO headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Deploy software applications to production environments.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
• Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software architects, program managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop and test software solution that meet the needs of our customers.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.
• Analyze user requirements and develop software specifications.
• Debug and fix issues.

Clearance Requirement

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Professional hands-on software engineering experience using tools and languages in our tech stack specifically React, Javascript, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
• BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
• U.S. Citizenship
• 5+ years of experience specifically in a software engineering role (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)
• Good verbal and written communication skill
• Detail oriented

Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:

• Experience with Atlassian tools
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (eg: AWS, Azure)
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and methodologies
• Experience with database design (eg: Postgres, NoSQL)
• Experience with messaging middleware (eg: ZeroMQ, KAFKA)
• Experience building backend web services and/or native applications
• Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
• Willingness and ability to learn new languages as necessary
• Experience with Gitlab

Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $155,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
