Front Desk Receptionist/Referral Clerk

Our office is looking for a Medical Receptionist/ Referral Coordinator to join our team. In this role you must be friendly, be able to multi-task, and reliable and work well with others.

Responsibilities

Answer phones, schedule appointments, insurance verification, greet and sign in and out patiets, obtain prior authorizations for inpatient surgeries, collect copay/ded/co-ins, light medical records, open and close office, ensures each referral meets the required criteria, take messages and transfer calls to appropriate staff, data entry, assist in filing duties, copy and scan medical records, fax, email and additional office tasks as necessary

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED certificate

Organizational and communication skills

Ability to work Mon-Fri 8 am to 5pm

1-2 years experience as a referral coordinator

Must have medical terminology

Must know insurance verification
