Touchmark at Emerald Lake is the newest community to join 13 existing Touchmark locations serving more than 3,500 residents. Thoughtfully positioned in McKinney, Texas, we will offer a unique lifestyle for adults ages 55+ on 80 acres of beautiful rolling hills and cedar trees. Residents will enjoy inspired living in a variety of home types for independent living, assisted living, and memory care. We are currently seeking the right person to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist!
To Provide 24/7 Coverage For The Community
12-Hour Shifts, 7:00AM – 7:00PM or 7:00PM – 7:00AM
As a member of our Concierge team, you will wear a variety of hats! The front desk is the heartbeat of our community – it’s the place where residents and guests might stop by to find out what is on the calendar of events for the day, to check on a package they’re expecting to receive, to let us know if they have a maintenance issue in their home, or just to lean on the counter and chit-chat about their day.
Position & Educational Requirements
  • Respect the confidentiality of all resident's and staff information and records
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Organized, detail-conscious, and self-initiating
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Outgoing, warm, friendly personality
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment
  • A commitment to a high degree of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Be experienced in providing security detail for our property
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize among multiple and/or competing tasks in a high-traffic area with multiple interruptions
  • Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers
  • Be willing to work independently
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications as well as experience with equipment such as copiers and printers
  • Flexibility in their schedule to cover for their team members when needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, a friendly attitude, and someone who can who can interact with composure in all experiences with team members, residents, and visitors.
  • Be willing to cross-train on other shifts to support the community
  • Have a “can do” attitude towards their work and be passionate about maintaining a five-star site appearance
  • Experience answering calls on a multi-line phone system in a professional manner
