Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic Front Desk Receptionist to undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of our Bureau of Prisons (BOP) unit at Abraxas Academy in Morgantown, PA. Here, you will play an important role, you will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be the first impression we make during the overnight shift.
Abraxas Academy is located minutes off of Exit 298 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Berks County and provides detention and treatment services for court committed youth.

Salary: $15.00 per hour
Health & Welfare: $4.13 per hour
Shift: Overnight / Third Shift – Wednesday-Saturday

In This Role, You Will
  • Maintain office and facility security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees as soon as they arrive at the facility
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail and/or deliveries
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and minimum one (1) year office related experience.
Other Qualifications
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
  • Valid registered vehicle insurance.
  • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
  • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
