Job Description
Brief Description
Vitalant is currently seeking a Donor Relations Specialist with front desk, customer service and/or sales experience for our donor care centers located in Albuquerque, NM.
Our ideal candidate has a heart for helping others and a passion for saving lives. As a Donor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for greeting donors when they attend a donation center for blood and blood product donation. You will be providing education to donors on the different types of blood and blood products needed to save lives, helping them feel comfortable, answering any pre-donation questions and signing them up for their next visit.

What To Expect
Schedule: Friday 7:00am - 3:00p; Saturday 7:00a - 4:30p; and Sun 9:30a - 2:00p.

We’re looking for someone who can:
  • Educates donors on the donor process, address concerns and answer questions
  • Retains current donors by rebooking donation appointments.
  • Administers customer service and marketing surveys to donors.
  • Collects data and prepares reports and performs other clerical duties, as needed.
  • Converts donors to automated and other new collection technologies to optimize the donation opportunity.
  • Explains and/or enrolls donors in frequent donor programs.
  • Assist the donor services staff with donor flow, monitors wait times, and communicates with donors and/or staff regarding wait times.

Requirements
  • Great customer service and interpersonal skills
  • 1 year in related field such as customer service, receptionist, sales required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic PC/Windows proficiency
