28Freight is seeking a Dispatcher to work onsite in their Wilmington, MA location. This is a critically important role to the overall success of the organization. As a customer-focused services company, you ensure that the customer’s expectations are met each day. You are an advocate for the internal and external customer and are focused on ensuring they have a great experience every time they interact with 28Freight and its subsidiaries.

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and prescribed routines.
• Previous industry experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED Required
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, TMS systems, EDI systems, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Dispatch drivers
• Capture and enter TSP delay information and communicate information as needed
• Anticipate service impacts and implement solutions
• Assist with scheduling the workload for the following day
• Communicate with Customer Service concerning ETA & availability
• Instruct and delegate pickup and delivery instructions to Dispatch team
• Scan the Dispatch board for problems, delays, and changes
• Ensure job tickets have proper information before the ticket is closed
• Ensure Pros are filled out correctly and attached to job tickets
