Attention freelance copywriters!

Mediaplanet is seeking experienced wordsmiths who can create engaging and informative branded content to appear in a range of socially relevant campaigns, which will be distributed nationally both online and in print.

The ideal candidate for this position will:

• Have a deep knowledge of AP style and willingness to adapt to Mediaplanet’s in-house style guide
• Be able to deliver quality content on tight deadlines
• Write in a professional yet engaging tone that can be adjusted based on the client’s ideal target audience
• Use materials provided by the client and do independent research about the brand’s products, services, and accolades to inform writing and ensure factual accuracy
• Provide relevant writing samples and be available for commissions immediately
• Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a cross-platform journalist and/or brand copywriter
• Work with outside companies and our in-house editorial team to deliver strategic branded messaging
• Interview brand executives, spokespeople, and satisfied customers, and use information gained from those interviews to add color and insight to content
