FP&A Resource

Job Summary: The FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Resource plays a vital role in the finance department by providing support in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis. The resource works closely with the Management team and other stakeholders to gather and analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights that contribute to informed decision-making within the organization. The FP&A Resource also assists in the development and implementation of financial models, processes, and systems to enhance the overall financial planning and analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Forecasting:

· Collaborate with the team to gather financial data and assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

· Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers, and providing explanations for significant variances.

· Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models and tools for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

2. Management Reporting and Analysis:

· Prepare regular financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management, highlighting key performance indicators, financial trends, and areas of concern.

· Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and investment evaluations.

· Identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities based on financial analysis to assist in proactive decision-making.

3. Financial Modeling and Systems:

· Collaborate in the development and maintenance of financial models and tools to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.

· Contribute to the improvement of financial planning and analysis systems, processes, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.

· Provide technical expertise in financial modeling techniques and tools, ensuring adherence to best practices.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration:

· Work closely with cross-functional teams and business partners to gather financial data, understand business requirements, and support strategic initiatives.

· Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data and provide insights into financial performance.

· Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and communications for executive-level stakeholders.

5. Continuous Improvement:

· Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in financial planning and analysis.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline financial planning and analysis activities.

· Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned by the CFO

Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.

· Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis, preferably within a corporate FP&A function. Retail experience is preferred.

· Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.

· Proficiency in financial modeling and proficiency in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) is essential. Knowledge of financial planning and reporting software (e.g., Power BI, JET, Hyperion) is desirable.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
