Job Description
Overview:
This is a full-time operations position responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trucks, checking in and stocking inventory in the appropriate locations and perform quality control of all orders received and shipped. Employee should be independently motivated with the ability to take on tasks without immediate direction and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You also may be assigned to work in any area of the plant as needed. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
  • Wear all proper PPE as required: Safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection etc.
  • Assist in all areas of the plant as needed
  • Maintain a clean work area including sweeping, emptying trash etc.
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Load or unload received or shipped coils onto and off trucks
Qualifications:
  • Good work ethic, team player with a positive attitude
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills such as data entry and retrieval
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work in both hot and cold atmospheres depending on weather conditions
  • Willing to take directions from manager and others
  • Must be able to work outside normal business hours as needed
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred
  • Strong task and time management skills
  • Operate assigned equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner
  • Follow company rules, procedures and safety policies
  • Willing to take on new tasks and learn new skills
