Description:

LOCATION The position is based at DrinkPAK's warehouse operations in Moorpark, California.

TEAM The Forklift Driver will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

POSITION The Forklift Driver is responsible for preparing merchandise and securing it for safe, easy transport, communicating with leadership to determine priorities, and performing regular machine maintenance on forklifts.

TYPE Full Time; Hourly / Non-Exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Documents actions by logging movements of supplies, materials, and finished goods.
• Keeps forklift operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Interacts and maintains positive relationships with all levels of leadership
• Clears production area by securing and moving finished pallets and moving empty pallets
• Retrieves supplies and materials by studying specifications; locating and verifying supplies and materials; secures pallets on the truck; moves pallets to production location
• Maintains inventory in the production area by anticipating and tracking usage. Monitors inventory by reporting discrepancies.
• Unloads and loads trucks in a safe and timely manner to serve our customers
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
• Maintains a safe work environment by watching out for pedestrian traffic, following standards and procedures, and complying with safety / legal regulations.
• Establishes and maintains high standards for quality, housekeeping, and productivity
• Plans supply and material requirements by studying production schedule, scheduling deliveries to the production area
• Compliant with all safety rules and regulations, GMP’s and all DrinkPAK’s policies and procedures
• Accomplishes special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the Field or similar manufacturing/warehouse environment; 2 years preferred in Forklift position
• Forklift Certification required
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree+ preferred
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred
• Proven ability to safely operate a sit-down motorized forklift
• Must have a full understanding of the operations of a Forklift (electrical or Propane)
• Ability to navigate within a WMS system

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs, stand 8+ hours, push and pull required.
