Come join our growing, dynamic team and become part of the JPV family! Joseph Phelps Vineyards is currently seeking full-time Food Prep/Dishwasher to support our hospitality team and the guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow proper food handling safety guidelines
• Perform basic cooking duties and food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the culinary team
• Assist with plating for large events
• Keep dish room and food preparation clean and organized
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, prep tables, and countertops
• Distributes all utensils, china, silverware, and pots to appropriate areas after washing
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware and cookware
• Operate kitchen appliances including grinders, food processors, mixes and slicers
• Responsible for ensuring exemplary level of cleanliness and sanitation

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 1-3 years related experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Must be highly organized and be able to work with limited supervision
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, multitask and work efficiently in high volume or high-pressure situations
• Ability to take direction
• Demonstrated back-of-house experience
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Lift and carry a case of wine weighing approximately 25 pounds
