Responsibilities
This employee is responsible for providing monitoring and technical assistance of school food service operations, meal programs, training, support for automated systems, and reviewing contracts with internal and external food services for New College of Florida.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
1. Providing technical assistance to Food and Nutrition Services and staff.
2. Conducting reviews of food and nutrition services to evaluate the effectiveness of operations.
3. Identifying and facilitating the solution of operational problems in Food and Nutrition Services programs, evaluating and providing review of contracts for attracting other food service options on campus.
4. Developing and monitoring training programs for Food and Nutrition Services.
5. Developing and implementing a marketing plan for Food and Nutrition Services operations, and working with current staff on existing processes and procedures.
6. Providing training and support for automated Food and Nutrition Services systems.
7. Monitoring meal programs and providing monthly reports to assess food services across campus. Review current contracts with vendors and evaluate effectiveness and services with costs. Making recommendations regarding nutrition education and other appropriate interactions.
8. Working together with the Health department and other evaluating agencies to comply with food and nutrition services polices and procedures.
9. Planning and implementing the food and nutrition development to provide a variety of options on campus.
10. Working with administrators, students, and Food and Nutrition Services employees in promoting nutrition education.
11. Providing specialized guidance and monitoring of food service department, menus, food quality and sanitation requirements.
12. Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in foods and nutrition, food management or other comparable major.
2. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
3. Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience in food service in schools or business and industry.
