The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission is seeking to fill a full-time Fisheries Biologist 1 positions with Bureau of Fisheries, Fisheries Management Area 6, Kintnersville. This position provides support to the Area Fisheries Manager in the conduct of fisheries management activities in Fisheries Management Area 6. Area 6 is defined as the lower Delaware River watershed downriver from the mouth of the Lehigh River, specifically sub-sub-basins 2 D-F and sub-basin 3; and the lower Susquehanna River watershed downriver from and including the Conewago Creek basin on the east side and the Codorus Creek basin on the west side, specifically sub-sub-basins 7 G-K. Performance of duties in this capacity form the basis for the protection, conservation, and enhancement of the Commonwealth's angling opportunities and aquatic resources in Southeast Pennsylvania.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to Fisheries Management Area 6 in Kintnersville, Pennsylvania.
- Full-time employment.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 12 credits in fish biology, fish ecology, fisheries management, ichthyology, fish culture, fish physiology, fish pathology, limnology, aquatic ecology, aquatic entomology, water quality or other course closely relate to fisheries science or aquatic ecology.
- A bachelor’s degree in a biological science that includes or is supplemented by 12 credits in fish biology, fish ecology, fisheries management, ichthyology, fish culture, fish physiology, fish pathology, limnology, aquatic ecology, aquatic entomology, water quality or other course closely related to fisheries science or aquatic ecology; or
- Possession of valid driver’s license.
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
