Description

Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department hires certified Firefighter/Paramedics (FF/PM). Fourth (4th) semester paramedics may apply, however, you must obtain your State of Florida Paramedic certification by August 25, 2023.
The CSPFD New Hire Assessment includes:

  • Swim Assessment
  • Practical Exam in EMS & Fire Skills
The Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department only accepts a valid CPAT acquired from any National Testing Network. To register for the CPAT at a local facility such as Palm Beach State College, please visit: https://www.nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs/cpat_info.cfm

Effective October 1, 2023 the pay range for Firefighter/Paramedic will increase to $61,908.00 - $99,976.00.

Typical Qualifications

The following certificates must be uploaded AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.

  • CSPFD ONLY accepts CPAT
  • State of Florida Firefighter 2 Certificate
  • State of Florida Paramedic License OR
  • One of the following:
    • State of Florida Paramedic License OR
    • Letter from current school noting you are currently a 4th semester paramedic with a projected graduation date from the program
  • CPAT (National)
    • CSPFD ONLY accepts CPAT
    • CPAT scores must be valid between the dates of July 8, 2022 - July 7, 2023. If you do not have a CPAT, please check with Palm Beach State College for the next scheduled CPAT.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Letter from current school noting you are currently a 4th semester paramedic with a projected graduation date from the program
  • CPAT scores must be valid between the dates of July 8, 2022 - July 7, 2023. If you do not have a CPAT, please check with Palm Beach State College for the next scheduled CPAT.
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
Applicants who receive their State of Florida Paramedic License after the closing date, MUST submit a copy to [email protected] prior to August 25, 2023.
