• Participates in direct patient care. Administers medications (per paramedic training program only) orally, intravenously and intramuscularly. Must be familiar with oral, injectable and intravenous medications (per paramedic training program only) that are ordered and administered.
• Performs other duties required.
• Performs phlebotomy and manages IV infusions (per paramedic training program only) to include starting and discontinuing IV’s and venous access ports.

Job Summary - LPN

Key administrative, clinical and information system specialist position that provides Infection Prevention and Controland Employee/Student Health services for USF Health and associated practice sites that are in compliance with federal, state and local advisory, and/or regulatory agencies. Coordinates the day to day administrative operations;participates in the information technology strategy required to meet the goals and objectives of the department; provides practical nursing care in accordance with established standards and practices within the parameters set by the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements - Paramedic

This position requires a paramedic license in the state of Florida and certification in advanced cardiac life support procedures. Minimum of one year of clinical experience. Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Requirements - LPN

Minimum Qualifications: This position requires licensure as a practical nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes, or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Chapter 64 B9, Florida Administrative Code.
