Summary
The objective of the Financial Data Analyst is to review and maintain the accuracy of standard and actual costs systems. Work with multiple plants / departments to ensure the accuracy of routings and throughput rates. Assist in costing and pricing analysis with sales and production teams. Create and maintain weekly/monthly analysis reports. Heavy involvement in ERP conversion (currently in beginning stages)
Responsibilities
· Strong Excel skills are required.
· Knowledge of cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment is preferred
· Support the development of the annual plan, including development of standard cost
· Full understanding of routings and Bills Of Materials, including intercompany movement
· Analyze manufacturing variances across 10 facilities, totaling 18 production lines
· Calculate, process and analyze material/labor standards
· Work closely with various departments regarding production and cost statistics
· Understand the various subsystems that support the manufacturing process
· Review and analyze inventory and margin reports
· Conduct research and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analysis and profitability
· Work with Sales Department to provide analysis and support for customer specific reports and sales bids
· Prepare, analyze and report weekly sales trends by customer and customer type against prior year
· Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data independently
· Work in Special Projects as required*
Education, Skills & Requirements
· Prepare adhoc reports on an as needed basis
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; with strong Excel Skills
· Three or more years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
· Strong analytical skills; detail oriented
· Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and able to work both independently and in a team environment
· Excellent communication and people skills
