Reporting to the Finance Transformation Execution (MCA) Lead, the Finance First Line Unit (FLU) Execution Coordinator is responsible for providing hands-on effective oversight of Finance’s delivery against commitments and deliverables across the non-Finance Transformation programs, including Risk, Compliance, and Human Resources. The role will focus on the Compliance and Policy vertical with responsibility for identifying and managing interdependencies, defining accountabilities and providing transparency into execution. The role will help define the target state for how Finance will adopt the policies and standards required from Compliance across transformation initiatives. The Finance Execution Coordinator will be expected to work collaboratively across Finance, Businesses and other Global Functions to help develop, implement and execute the ongoing management and coordination of Finance responses to, and adoption of, initiatives being led by Compliance and Policy programs. This role will also require participation and representation of Finance with senior program and Initiative Leads from the Compliance organization.


Further, the expectation of the Finance Execution Coordinator will be to assist the Director in implementing high quality repeatable risk management, control, reporting and relationship routines. The Finance Execution Coordinator will help ensure that Finance dependencies and enablers are identified, discussion, prioritized and planned through formal governance and oversight and coordination with Functions and Businesses.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide leadership and guidance in the development of transformation plans for required programs, including definition and timing of workstreams, deliverables and other milestones against commitments, and dependencies
  • Appropriately assess risk and cross-enterprise dependencies when business decisions are made.
  • Provide reporting and informational updates to the Finance Transformation office and collaborates with the Transformation Lead to develop and ensure timely and consistent PMO status reporting
  • Identify critical interdependencies among Risk programs to drive and accelerate execution and address milestone delays with transparent communication to senior stakeholders
  • Overall detailed plan representing all intra and inter dependencies across Risk and Finance/Finance as FLU
  • For Compliance and Policy programs, look across programs and initiatives to identify intra and interdependent elements and provide recommendations, where needed, for combining or connecting programs and initiatives to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assess impact to BAU activities and operating model post implementation
  • This role requires hands-on, day to day engagement to drive execution and results.
  • Develop a forward-looking process to track delivery, challenge, and validation
  • Develop a dashboard to use for reporting on plan part of PMO reporting cycles
  • Constructively challenges others at all levels and across boundaries to deliver better results
  • Ensure consistent alignment and implementation of CAO, Finance, and Regulatory requirements, standards, process and reporting
  • Participate in the design and execution of each program’s defined scope, target state, and success criteria to ensure it fully addresses Finance’s expectations/requirements and underlying issues and root causes, and aligns to local regulatory requirements where appropriate
  • Ensure programs have clearly identified the required roles and responsibilities and have appropriately identified, engaged Citi stakeholders with appropriate accountability


Qualifications:


  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of programs or projects, change programs with the capability of prioritizing and leading multi-program portfolio in a complex, largescale, distributed organization
  • The role requires leadership presence to drive communication, execution and results in a coordinated manner
  • Operating with a sense of urgency to execution of clear solution mitigation
  • Hands-on, roll up your sleeves style
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to identify conflicts, discrepancies and other issues and resolve them in an effective and timely manner
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly changing and evolving business and control environment
  • Deep analytical skills and experience in managing highly technical and sophisticated risk management strategies
  • Expert program and project planning skills with strong experience in managing complex program plans with inter and intra dependencies
  • Experience managing multiple plans at one time


Skills:


  • Familiarity with US bank regulations
  • Strong experience with managing Regulatory and Internal Audit issues to remediation
  • Significant experience in Finance, ICRM, ORM and/or IA
  • 12+ years or relevant experience in financial services industry
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – PowerPoint, Excel, Pivot tables
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
