Job Description
Currently looking for a travel Field Technician I to join our team.


Develop proficiency in primary skills of customer relations, basic electricity, basic electronics, basic telephony, radio principles for CDMA and iDEN, and basic principles of digital transmission, fiber communication, data communication, telephony terminology, industry standards, and on-line network control/maintenance systems.


  • Able to trouble shoot AC and DC power systems including tower light controllers.
  • Able to follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform routine maintenance on all radio interface equipment.
  • Serve as a technical reference point for other functions.
  • Develop proficiency with inventory tools and procedures.
  • Basic Microwave principals
  • Develop proficiency with use of relevant wireless tools and test equipment.
  • Provide Service Delivery work installing new cell site equipment from channel card elements up to complete new cell site installs.
  • Perform Service Assurance work on all radio interface network elements. Interpret the alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and implement repairs and restoration plans to ensure minimal service disruption and impact to customer.
  • Meet expectations with regards to behavioral and administrative facets of the position.


Vocational Skills and procedural knowledge, typically gained through a combination of education and relevant experience totaling up to 2 years post-high school or equivalent.


  • Must be able to work outside of normal business hours (ie shift work), to include maintenance window and weekends if needed. 24/7 On Call required.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive long distances on and off road. A CDL classification may be required for some vehicles.
  • Ability to climb ladders and steep staircases.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with field operations specific trouble ticket and network database systems.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful and demanding work environment.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Will need to transport equipment, therefore, vehicle with appropriate carrying capacity will be needed.
  • Travel required.
  • Ability to identify all colors associated with telecommunications cable and equipment indicator lights.
  • Ability to exercise flexibility and resourcefulness (with assistance from others) in challenging and/or perplexing situations.
  • The dexterity to connect and disconnect various sizes and types of electronic connectors.
  • Ability to work in remote and challenging locations including, but not limited to rooftops, vaults, and all types of geographic locations.
  • Confirmation of travel requirement - 100% for Technicians but flexible to travel outside of market for weeks at a time if required (e.g. disaster recovery, new product roll-out, etc).
  • Previous experience working wireless networking system.


Construction Manager I Accountable for all Civil Works and associated financial control via Scheduling (time), SP/ASP and Quality Management on a given project. Ensure that all Service Providers are adhering to company standards, processes and procedures as well as all Federal and Local standards. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities. Interfaces with External Interfaces ASP/SP, Customer PM Internal Interfaces IM Lead, Project Admin, Project Sponsor.


Assess and control charges to the agreed site design


  • Write claims, order and return materials.
  • Perform Site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits. o Site verification. Visual inspection of quality on site.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings
  • Civil Works problem solving as required during the project.
  • Awareness and on-site supervision during where risk of disturbances in customer site performance is high.
  • Assures that o Only Customer’s approved materials are installed on the project o The agreed Civil Works guidelines and schedules are followed and enforced.
  • Supervise, coordinate and monitor works with the Service Providers and other disciplines that have an interface with the Civil Works part of the project.
  • Check that the working environment is maintained at an acceptable level, carry out safety inspections and ensure that tools, etc. are in good working condition.
  • Prepares regular interval progress reports as required by the project
  • Team leadership focusing on quality and results.
  • Coordinates site activities and assures that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the Project goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for the proper interpretation and compliance of the civil design plans.
  • Ensure that Service Providers and vendors/suppliers meet all the technical specifications with respect to company and customer specifications. Workmanship quality of the installations done by the Service Providers is within the Contract, company standards and Customer expectations. All company, Federal, Local, and customer safety guidelines and construction procedures are enforced during the entire Civil Works phase of the project.
  • Report bad performance and quality on site.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Service Providers and any other suppliers that provide services associated with the Civil Works activities.
  • Reject wrong deliveries of material to site.
  • Maintain and update construction-specific areas of Site Handler including but not limited to the following o SOW and preconstruction documents (NTP, SOW, RFDS, safety guidance, QA standards, etc) o NTP receipt verification o RFDS submission review and changes o Civils acceptance documents, submission receipt, review and approval o Civils progress PFA verification (daily) Close out document review and acceptance sign off Construction Manager 1 - CM1 Has GOOD knowledge and skills. IDENTIFIES and SOLVES defined problems that require little or no analysis by using existing procedures, techniques and methods. UNDERSTANDS the necessity for improvement and change.
  • Knowledge in workers safety and work environment safety.
  • Provide accurate status information on the progress to project management.
  • Drive schedule activities and trouble-shooting results.


Experience/Qualification Level Minimum of 1-2 years of experiance Job-related experience with project builds of over 100 sites PREREQUISITE REQUIRED TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS Supplier is responsible for ensuring that Personnel have the necessary qualifications and certifications required to perform the Work described herein prior to beginning Work, including OSHA30, RF Awareness, CPR/First Aid, and Ergonomics and any refresher training required to maintain such certifications.
