Field Service Technician Jobs

Summary: Fabricate and install HDPE pipe and fittings on customer job sites and possibly shop. Requires driving to

customer sites, operating fusion equipment, and material handling equipment

Essential Duties:

• Ability to work on-call for emergencies
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipment
• Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends when necessary
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to regulations and safety practices
• Maintains a clean work area and equipment
• Safely operate company vehicles, fusion equipment and lifting equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers
• Safely fabricates and installs product to customers satisfaction
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Available to work out-of-town with overnight travel on occasion
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Must maintain accurate documentation of work performed, material used, and equipment used
• Put away and organize equipment and materials
• Obey all company policies and safety procedures

Work Environment:

• Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to temperature extemes, moving
• Continual exposure to all outdoor weather
• Travel: up to 75%

• Requires continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, squatting, bending, climbing, lifting

and maneuvering material and equipment

• Safe, repetetive lifting of up to 70 pounds

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Basics

• Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must pass a Drug Test
• Must pass a Background Check
• Must pass Pre-Employment Tests (if applicable)
• Must pass Pre-Employment Physical

Safety

• Confined Space Training
• Annual OSHA Training
• CPR Training
• Annual MSHA Training

Fusion

• Large Diameter Fusion Certified (Hydraulic to 65")
• PolyPro Fusion Certified
• Medium Diameter Fusion Certified (Hydraulic to 20")
• Small Diameter Electrofusion Certified (up to 12")
• Competent in Saddle Fusion
• Extrusion Weld Certified
• Small Diameter Fusion Certified (Manual to 6")
• Large Diameter Electrofusion Certified (14" and above)

Equipment

• Basic Mechanical Skills
• Lifting/Rigging Training
• Basic Electrical Circuit Knowledge
• Certified Forklift Operator

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of fusion and fabrication experience
• Class A CDL
